Teens Talk - Future Overlooking The Past

People spend most of their lives thinking about things that they believe should have happened or could have happened. Personally I believe people waste too much time pondering about the past and not thinking about the future.

If the past is unchangeable why do we bring it up all the time?

The past can bring up good and horrible memories. Lately the past has only become an excuse for individuals to hold grudges that have been leading to deadly disputes.

We have to learn that we can’t turn back the hands of time no matter how bad we want to.

We can’t bring loved ones back who have left earth to be with God. We can’t spark up old relationships that have continuously lost their flare. It can be challenging at times but we have to learn how to move on with our lives.

For some time now many of us have been letting our past overlook our future.

Some of us have been throwing our futures away by making poor decisions to pick up firearms. A number of us have been throwing our future away because we have been allowing revenge to be the solution to our problems.

It is time for us to let our future overlook our past and stop giving our past the privilege to overlook our future.

It has been a difficult lesson for me to learn, so I’m not saying that leaving the past behind is easy.

There are so many of us that have to realize that God allows certain things to happen for a reason. Some things he allows to happen because He wants us to make changes in our futures.

There should never be a reason why one should let their past overlook their future.

I’m going to leave you all with these words of wisdom, “Your past is unchangeable so don’t give it the ability to freeze your future.”
